TERMS OF USE

Legal questions, permissions, or copyright concerns? To help prevent spam and protect our communication channels, RXA handles these inquiries through our Contact page. Select Legal / Copyright so we can direct your message appropriately. No account is required.

RXA and rxadiet.com are operated by The RXA Corporation, based in Los Angeles, California. These Terms describe the conditions for using our website and its features.

Our publication

RXA publishes reporting, interviews, criticism, commentary, and other material about culture and everyday life.

Our work may include facts, attributed statements, interpretation, and opinion. Statements by interview subjects, contributors, advertisers, or readers are not automatically statements or endorsements by RXA.

Featuring a person, business, or work does not imply an affiliation or mutual endorsement.

Ownership and permissions

RXA’s original articles, branding, website design, and other protected material belong to The RXA Corporation or the relevant rights holders.

Photographs, artwork, quotations, music, video, and other third-party material remain subject to their owners’ rights. RXA can authorize reuse only where it controls the necessary rights.

You may read the site and share links. Copying, republication, distribution, or commercial use requires permission unless permitted by law.

Except where legally permitted, you may not:

  • Republish complete articles or substantial portions without authorization.
  • Download and redistribute protected photographs or other assets.
  • Remove copyright notices, credits, or watermarks.
  • Sell or license RXA material as your own.
  • Use RXA’s name or logo to suggest an affiliation, approval, or endorsement that does not exist.

Attribution does not replace permission. Nothing here removes fair-use rights or other rights protected by law.

Send permission and licensing requests through our Contact page using Legal / Copyright.

Automated collection

Without written permission, you may not systematically extract or reproduce RXA content to create a commercial archive, competing publication, dataset, or machine-learning training collection, except where applicable law permits it.

Do not bypass access restrictions, access nonpublic systems, or use automated tools in a way that disrupts the site.

This provision does not prohibit ordinary search indexing consistent with our published access instructions or lawful accessibility tools used for individual access.

Acceptable conduct

Do not use the site or communication features to infringe rights, distribute malware, impersonate others, send spam, make unlawful threats, or disclose private information without authority.

Do not interfere with the site’s operation or attempt unauthorized access.

We may remove contributions or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, maintain security, comply with law, or address violations of these Terms.

Pitches, interviews, and submissions

Sending material to RXA does not transfer ownership, guarantee publication, create employment, or establish a right to payment.

Submitting material for consideration permits us to receive, store, review, and discuss it internally. Publication rights, compensation, confidentiality, exclusivity, and other contributor arrangements should be agreed separately.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit material. Do not provide another person’s confidential records or protected work without authority.

An unsolicited submission is not automatically confidential or off the record. Obtain an express agreement before providing sensitive material.

A separate written agreement controls over conflicting provisions in these Terms.

Public contributions

If RXA offers comments or another public contribution feature, you retain ownership of your contribution. By posting it, you grant RXA a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and reasonably format it for that feature.

This does not transfer ownership or automatically authorize unrelated advertising or merchandise uses.

We may moderate or remove contributions but do not promise to review everything before it appears. You remain responsible for your submissions.

Editorial decisions and corrections

RXA retains editorial discretion over commissioning, publication, headlines, presentation, updates, and removal, subject to applicable law and separate agreements.

We may edit accepted material within the rights granted to us for accuracy, clarity, length, formatting, and legal concerns.

Report factual errors through our Contact page. Include the article URL, the disputed statement, and supporting information. We assess substantiated concerns; disagreement with an opinion does not by itself establish a factual error.

Older coverage may not include later developments.

Advertising and related businesses

RXA displays banner advertisements and promotional links, including advertisements for businesses under common ownership with The RXA Corporation. Advertising placements are identified as advertisements.

If editorial content recommends a business and an ownership or financial connection requires disclosure, that connection will be identified with the relevant content.

The business identified in an advertisement is responsible for its products, services, and transaction terms. Purchases are governed by the seller’s applicable terms. Nothing here excludes responsibility that the law places on RXA.

Advertising and commercial partnerships require separate agreements.

External services

RXA may link to or embed third-party websites, music, videos, and social posts. We do not control those services, their availability, or their practices.

A link may serve reporting, criticism, reference, or convenience and does not necessarily indicate approval.

General information

RXA’s articles are provided for editorial discussion and general information.

Coverage involving health, mental health, substances, law, finance, or other specialized subjects is not personalized professional advice. Seek appropriate professional guidance for your circumstances.

Reporting on conduct does not encourage unlawful or harmful activity.

Copyright concerns

Use our Contact page and select Legal / Copyright if you believe material on RXA infringes your copyright. Include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work.
  • The URL and specific material being reported.
  • Your contact information.
  • Your ownership or authority to act.
  • Relevant supporting information.

We will review the report and take appropriate action under applicable law. Do not submit knowingly false claims.

Availability and warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that every item will remain available or current. We may change or discontinue features.

Nothing here excludes warranties or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The RXA Corporation and its personnel and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the site.

To the extent legally permitted, their combined liability for claims arising from the site or these Terms is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid directly to RXA for the service giving rise to the claim during the preceding 12 months.

These limitations do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Separate signed agreements may provide different terms.

Claims arising from misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify The RXA Corporation against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the site, infringement of another person’s rights, or submissions that violate these Terms.

This obligation does not extend to the portion of a claim caused by RXA’s own unlawful conduct. RXA will provide reasonable notice and cooperation concerning a covered claim. No settlement may impose an admission or nonmonetary obligation on you without your consent.

California law and disputes

These Terms are governed by California law, subject to mandatory protections applicable where you live.

Where legally permitted, disputes concerning these Terms or the site will be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California.

Nothing here removes an available right to use small-claims court or contact a regulator.

Changes and remaining provisions

We may revise these Terms prospectively and provide additional notice or obtain acceptance where required by law. Revisions do not retroactively change existing disputes.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
